Exercises And Physical Therapy
One of the main proven treatments to reverse rheumatoid arthritis is exercises and physical therapy. Its safe and effective when done properly, and under the supervision of a physical therapist. It can build up your strength to help you better control and manage your joint or muscle pain.
Physical therapy can be active or passive and both kinds can help ease any flare-ups. Passive therapy is when someone else, such as a therapist, does most of the work, as in massage. Active therapy is when you do most of the work such as in muscle-strengthening exercises.
Remember, though, that its important that you to talk to your rheumatologist before starting such treatments to reverse rheumatoid arthritis.
Gentle exercises, such as walking, swimming or yoga, can be beneficial in alleviating pain and building up your muscle strength. Exercise helps deliver oxygen to the joints, brain, and muscles and has the added advantage of making you feel good.
As with any physical therapy, talk to your doctor first to ensure that you dont do yourself any harm.

Dietary Magnesium In Humans With Osteoarthritis Average Age 62
In a June 2019 study, researchers evaluated the relationship between dietary magnesium intake and prevalence of knee osteoarthritis. A topic that up to June 2019, was poorly explored in the literature.
- Overall, 783 people participating in this study and having an MRI assessment of knee osteoarthritis were assessed for the benefits or non-benefits of magnesium in helping with their knee pain.
- The people in this study were given a diet that increased their magnesium intake by 100 mg/day. One ounce of pumpkin seeds for instance contains 168 mg of magnesium. One ounce of almonds contains 80 mg.
- What the researchers noted in the group of slightly more women than men with an average age of 62 is that higher magnesium intake corresponded to a significant increase in mean cartilage thickness, cartilage volume at medial tibia, cartilage volume and mean cartilage thickness at central medial femur, and cartilage volume and mean cartilage thickness in the central medial tibiofemoral compartment.
- In conclusion, an increased magnesium dietary intake is associated with a better knee cartilage architecture, also when adjusting for potential confounders, suggesting a potential role of magnesium in the prevention and treatment of knee osteoarthritis.
In summary, magnesium could help. May not help everyone. Some knees are too far gone.
How To Make Muscle Rub Body Butter:
Place the coconut oil, beeswax, and shea butter in a mason jar, large Pyrex measuring cup, or Pyrex bowl.
Put a two or three inches of water in a small pot, place the mason jar in the pot, and place over medium heat on the stove/range. Attractive photo, right? But it shows you the setup!
Stir occasionally and keep an eye on the water. Once it approaches the point of a simmer, turn it down.
Once the mixture has melted completely, carefully remove the mason jar from the double boiler .
Allow the mixture to cool until it becomes slightly cloudy looking. This may take some time, depending on the temperature in your house. You can pop the jar in the fridge for a little while to speed up the process check on it ever 15 minutes or so.
Insert your immersion blender into the jar and start mixing. You can also use a hand mixer on medium speed. You could probably also use a normal blender, though I havent tried it!
Carefully and slowly add the magnesium oil. Keep blending until it is fully combined with the butter mixture.
Add the arrowroot powder, if using, and your essential oils and mix to combine. I used about 30 drops of lavender, 15 of geranium, and 10 of frankincense. You may want to use more .
Ive seen some body butter recipes suggest re-blending in a few minutes, but personally I havent found that it makes much of a difference. If you notice any separation in your body butter, emulsify it some more. If you dont, then youer good to go!

How To Correct Magnesium Deficiency
Because serum magnesium does not reflect intracellular magnesium levels, and since the latter makes up approximately 99% of total body magnesium, magnesium deficiency typically goes undiagnosed.
This problem was highlighted by Dr Carolyn Dean in her book The Magnesium Miracle: Unfortunately, it is impossible to find studies that tell us the actual incidence of magnesium deficiency. This stems from there being no accepted medical standard for measuring whole-body magnesium status. Blood testing for magnesium relies on inadequate measurements since only 1% of the bodys magnesium is in the blood and only 40% is in the tissues.
Due to the difficulty in identifying magnesium deficiency, it is important to pay attention to possible signs and symptoms. These can include, but are not limited to, fatigue, muscle pain, loss of appetite, insomnia, elevated blood pressure and fuzzy thinking.
Correcting a magnesium deficiency is a matter of enriching your diet with the mineral by upping your intake of green vegetables, fruit, seeds, nuts, legumes and unprocessed whole grains. Raw foods are also a great source of magnesium, as are herbs such as purslane and cilantro.
Cold-pressed oils are recommended for your cooking, including extra-virgin olive oil and coconut oil, and you should ignore the anti-salt dogma and flavour your food with a high-quality, mineral-rich sea salt. A magnesium supplement is another option, and below well talk you through the common forms.

Why The Body Needs Magnesium
As an abundant mineral in the body, magnesium plays a role in many biological reactions, including protein synthesis, blood glucose control, blood pressure regulation, and muscle and nerve function. Its necessary for the development of bones, and it actively transports potassium and calcium across cell membranes, which is needed for normal heartbeats and muscle contractions. Additionally, magnesium is required for DNA and RNA synthesis and reproduction.
Most people get magnesium through nutrition. Magnesium is added to foods like bread, though it naturally occurs in foods like almonds, spinach, fish, meat, and avocados. You can get magnesium by taking dietary supplements and some medications, like antacids and laxatives. Although many people have an abundance of magnesium in their bodies, certain groups, such as older people or those with Type 2 diabetes, gastrointestinal diseases, or alcohol dependencies, are prone to magnesium deficiencies. Common early signs of a deficiency include nausea, fatigue, loss of appetite, and weakness. As a deficiency worsens, you may begin to feel cramps, seizures, personality changes, coronary spasms, or abnormal heart rhythms.
